While recovering from an illness, I decided to keep myself occupied. I applied my dental skills and knowledge of wire sculpting and taught myself to make jewelry. As I needed controlled forces to sculpt the wire, it required a heightened level of concentration and repetition. I was soon able to forget my illness and it gave me the satisfaction of doing something by myself. For me, at that time, the act of losing myself in sculpting wires was meditation. Each one of us needs to find our own way of meditating.
